Hi there! I’m Amanda.

 

I’m a modern sculptural artist who loves when art comes off the canvas.

 

For me there’s something special about physically forming a piece from a simple idea.  It gives me so much joy and satisfaction to watch new work come to life. 

 

I’m inspired by movement and the way light and shadow direct our attention. These are strong themes in my work and I use multiple mediums to help me achieve this, including clay, texture and plaster. 

 

My mindset for art is similar to that for life;  to find beauty in imperfection. 

Viewing my work through this lense allows me to embrace intricacies and inconsistencies. It helps me to see ‘imperfections’ as unique and necessary to the whole, rather than a hindrance.

 

 I am passionate about creating visually intriguing, fun and uplifting pieces. From simple minimalist design to complex pieces with bright color, I believe there is a place for it all.
