MEET THE ARTIST

Hi, I’m Amanda Villa, an Australian-born artist based in East Texas.

My work is rooted in abstraction, texture, and storytelling. I’m drawn to layered surfaces, imperfect marks, movement, and the way a painting can suggest a memory, feeling, or place without explaining everything. Influenced by the Australian landscape, my work often carries traces of water, sand, weathered surfaces, and open space.

While abstract painting remains at the heart of my practice, I occasionally explore more figurative work. My Reflections collection was one such chapter, using women, bold color, and textured reflections to tell stories of courage, freedom, and resilience.

Whether abstract or figurative, I want each piece to feel alive, layered, and open enough for the viewer to find their own story within it.
